So, you’ve probably noticed we’re always talking about puncture size. And more specifically, the puncture size that FlatOut™ is able to protect against. (1/2 inch!) So why is that important? And why do we keep bringing it up?
Well, we’re glad you asked. The goal of a tire sealant is to seal punctures and slow leaks, and FlatOut™ seals more than TWICE THE SIZE of the competition. That means more protection for you and your tires, so you can keep riding your UTV, eBike, or lawnmower on the weekend without worrying about flats. Double the sealing power = double the fun (or double the work you can get done!)
No more putting your weekend fun on hold because you’ve already had to fill up the lawnmower tire four times with air. So, let’s put things into perspective. How big is ½ inch when it comes to running over things? We do demos using a half-inch spike. We know, pretty cool! FlatOut™ seals them every time. FlatOut™ goes past just protecting against nails and screws. When you’re off-road, you could run over deer antlers, branches, thorns, and everything else out there. So, if your next question is, “How can FlatOut™ seal punctures that are double the size of the competition and deliver on that promise?” We’ll tell you! FlatOut™ is made up of synthetic TangleTek™ fibers including Dupont™ Kevlar®. These fibers are the key to sealing large punctures. Bullet-resistant vests are made of Kevlar®, so adding this to our formulas makes the seals super strong. All of these fibers and fillers are mixed into a non-adhesive base fluid, so it never dries out or gets sticky. When you get a puncture, the base fluid carries the fillers and fibers to the puncture. As you drive, the fibers in the puncture compress into a durable plug.
